Imperial romance TV drama airs online
    2018-08-24  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

“RUYI’S Royal Love in the Palace,” one of the most anticipated Chinese TV series of the summer, has debuted in 18 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada and Australia, this week.

On the Chinese mainland, the 87-episode drama starring Taiwan actor Wallace Huo and mainland actress Zhou Xun is being broadcast on the video-streaming site qq.com. In the United States, it has aired on a television channel affiliated to the Fox Network Group with five episodes every week, China Daily reported. Besides, major broadcasters in Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam are working on their schedules.

The 87-episode series, loosely based on a true story about one of Emperor Qianlong’s empresses in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), was directed by Wang Jun, and chronicles the bittersweet romances between the emperor and his women.(SD-Agencies)
