Superstar Kesha to tour in town
    2018-08-27  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

American pop singer, songwriter, rapper and actress Kesha will give her “Rainbow” tour concert in Shenzhen on Sept. 26.

Kesha’s first major success came in early 2009 after she was featured on American rapper Flo Rida’s No. 1 single “Right Round.” Her music and image propelled her to immediate success, with her debut album “Animal” premiering on the top of the charts in several countries in 2009 and 2010. She achieved three more No. 1 singles, “Tik Tok” and “We R Who We R” as a solo artist, and “Timber” as a featured artist. At the same time, she continued to write songs for other artists, including “Till the World Ends” for Britney Spears.

“Warrior,” her second studio album, was released in 2012, and spawned her eighth consecutive Top 10 single “Die Young.” “Tik Tok,” at one point, was the best-selling digital single in history, selling over 16.5 million units internationally.

Last year, she released her third studio album “Rainbow” and has embarked on the “Rainbow” tour, visiting North America, Europe, Oceania and Asia. Her documentary “Rainbow: The Film” was released on Apple Music on Aug. 10, 2018. It follows her stint at rehab for her eating disorder, creating “Rainbow” and her rehearsals for her performance at the 60th Grammy Awards.

Kesha has received several awards and nominations, including her win for the MTV Europe Music Award for Best New Act in 2010. As of November 2013, she has reportedly sold over 59 million records in the United States and 76 million records worldwide.
