CHEN LIBO, a student from Nanning, Guangxi Province, traveled to Yunnan after the college entrance examination. But his family has not heard from him for 13 days.

The Shangri-La Public Security Bureau in Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province said a mission to find the student was immediately launched Aug. 21 along the hiking trail of the Tiger Leaping Gorge, the Yangtze River and search notices were posted along the route. But there has been no sight of Chen even after several days of searching. The police will further expand the search area and increase the effort, while appealing to people to provide any clues.
