The First Wutong Scholars Forum at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK (SZ)) dropped its curtain on August 21, gathering a total of 48 excellent young scholars to talk about academics and development through special reports, academic discussions and panels.

About 400 young scholars from around the world applied to attend the forum. After the selection process, 48 were invited to join the forum. All these scholars have obtained a doctoral degree at renowned universities and have made great achievements in different research fields such as natural sciences, engineering technology and humanities.

The two-day forum enabled the scholars to learn more about CUHK (SZ)’s educational goals, developmental vision, and talent introduction policies. At the same time, the university used the forum to assess the academic and professional expertise of the attending scholars via a one-to-one sub-forum.

The young scholars who performed well during the one-to-one sub-forum will be offered employment at the young university.
