Online payment

A TOTAL of 45 hospitals in the city have opened online services that allow patients covered by the social medical insurance to make reservations and pay medical fees on their phone.

Patients covered by the insurance can use WeChat, Alipay and OneConnet to pay medical fees online at the WeChat account of the city’s human resource and social security bureau.

Automatic payment

MORE than 1,000 parking lots in Shenzhen have adopted an automatic payment system supported by UnionPay and a license plate recognition technology.

The number of registered automatic payment users has reached 180,000, and by the end of the year, the technology will cover 2,000 parking lots, accounting for 80 percent of city’s major parking lots. Users need to tie their bankcard numbers and car plate numbers to use the service.

New schools

A TOTAL of 36 new public-funded schools will open in the city for the new semester, offering tens of thousands of new school slots.

The schools include five high schools, 20 schools offering nine-year compulsory education and 11 primary schools.
