Info disclosure

THE country’s charity organizations should provide factual information to the public in a complete and timely manner starting Saturday, according to a regulation issued by the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

Information required to be disclosed includes charity groups’ yearly work and financial accounting reports, major asset changes, transactions and investments, public funding, and other charity projects, said the rule.

Charities that fail to disclose information in a timely manner or disclose false information can be reported to civil affairs authorities by any organization or individual, the regulation said.

Cheaper cancer drugs

PATIENTS are expected to be able to buy 14 kinds of cancer drugs at a lower price from September, according to the State medical insurance administration.

The National Health-care Security Administration has lowered the procurement prices of 14 cancer drugs, asking pharmaceutical companies to submit price adjustment applications to provincial-level drug procurement offices, according to a recent circular issued by the administration.

Buddhist grotto relics

CHINESE archaeologists recently discovered Buddhist grotto relics dating back to Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) in the northern part of Northwest China’s Shaanxi Province.

The discovery was made at a site in Suide County, which falls under the jurisdiction of the city of Yulin. Six grottoes, made of clay, were unearthed. The largest has a depth of 5.7 meters. Sculptures, frescos, and stone door eaves were also found in the grottoes, according to the provincial research institute of archaeology.
