DUE to the recent heavy rainfall, a total of 21 cases of ground collapses have occurred across the city, according to the city’s urban planning, land and resources commission Friday. Among the 21 cases, one occurred in Futian District, six in Luohu District, five in Nanshan District and three in Longgang District. Longhua District and Dapeng New Area each had two occurrences, while Guangming New Area and Pingshan District each had one. In addition, from Aug. 27 to 5 p.m. Friday the commission received five reports on geological disasters without casualties, including one in Futian, one in Guangming New Area and three in Luohu.
