A POLITICAL adviser suggested the relevant authority apply for State-protected relic status for the mausoleum of the last emperor of the Southern Song Dynasty, which is located in Chiwan Village at the foot of Mt. Nanshan.

Qvod bankruptcy

A SHENZHEN court has accepted an application from the creditors of Qvod Technology Co. Ltd. over the bankruptcy of the Shenzhen-based online video service company, which owed nearly 10 million yuan.

Qvod, established in 2007, was once a video-streaming giant in China. The company was punished and its founder Wang Xin was put into jail for 3.5 years for distributing obscene materials for personal gain, as his online business provided easy access to pornography and various types of pirated content.

Wang was released in February.
