Illustrations

Twenty-five Hans Christian Andersen Award winners are exhibiting more than 300 illustrations in Shekou. The award is named after Hans Christian Andersen, the 19th-century Danish author of fairy tales.

‘Values of Design’

Drawing from the Victoria and Albert Museum’s extensive collection in London, exhibition “Values of Design” features over 250 objects from year 900 to the present.

Shenzhen Museum

Ancient relics unearthed from the North Pagoda in Chaoyang City in Northeast China’s Liaoning Province are on display until Oct. 7. Meanwhile, relics of the Maya civilization are also on display. The items are on loan from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) in the United States.

Relics

Pieces of Hongshan jade, Majiayao pottery and ancient porcelain collected by Xiangshan Art Museum are on display at the museum. The Hongshan culture was a Neolithic culture in northeastern China. The Majiayao culture was a group of Neolithic communities who lived primarily in the upper Yellow River region in eastern Gansu, eastern Qinghai and northern Sichuan.
