Employees of the Shenzhen branch of China Ping An donate books yesterday at the lobby of Wongtee Central Building. More than 100 employees of Ping An and the Shenzhen Blood Center donated 1,612 books and 22,000 ml of blood at an event yesterday. The Shenzhen-based insurance company has worked with Mutian Charity to set up a book donation platform to collect books for the nation’s countryside children. More than 1.18 million books had been donated to set up 6,100 libraries in the countryside as of the end of 2017, benefiting 230,000 children. Mutian Charity is an NGO that aims to help disadvantaged children in the countryside. Sun Yuchen
