Ex-official prosecuted

JIA LIQUN, a former official with the city’s economic, trade and information commission, was prosecuted for allegedly corruption. Between 2006 and 2017, Jia allegedly took 1.38 million yuan (US$200,000) and HK$250,000 (US$31,874) in bribes when he worked as department chief of the commission.

Fuel price

THE retail prices of fuel were raised by 0.12 yuan per liter starting from yesterday.

Diesel is sold at 7.31 yuan per liter and No. 92 gasoline is sold at 7.68 yuan per liter after the price hike.

This was the 11th price hike this year.
