Bus fares

CHIP bankcards will be added as a way to pay bus fares in the city, according to an agreement signed by Shenzhentong Co. and UnionPay Shenzhen Co.

More than 18,000 buses on nearly 1,000 routes have been renovated with devices to support fare payment via bankcards.

Train intervals

SHENZHEN Metro Group will reduce train intervals between Tangkeng Station and Huaxin Station to two minutes and 25 seconds to meet the possible surge of travelers after the opening of the Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway, sources from the company said Monday.

The company is planning to further cut train departure intervals on Line 2 and Line 5.
