Liaoning remembers Sept.18 Incident
    2018-09-19  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A total of 1,000 representatives from teachers, veterans and soldiers pause to mourn the deceased in silence in order to commemorate the 87th anniversary of the “Sept.18 Incident” in front of the 918 Historical Museum in Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning Province yesterday. On Sept. 18, 1931, the Japanese Kwantung Army stationed in Northeast China destroyed a section of the railway near Liutiaohu and then falsely accused the Chinese military of causing the explosion. Using this as a pretext, the Japanese then bombarded Shenyang and began the invasion of Northeast China.  China News Service
