Counterfeiters busted

THE market supervision and administration office of Baolong Subdistrict recently uncovered a den producing counterfeit and inferior commodities and seized nearly 40 tons of various types of daily necessities, such as soaps and detergents.

A surprise raid found that there were three houses made of iron sheets in an industrial park in Longgang District, covering an area of more than 200 square meters. Electric wires were chaotically connected and the ground was covered with all kinds of logo processing materials and a huge number of bags for packaging everyday chemical brands.

Tourism spots closed

THE tourist attractions in Dapeng New Area, which were seriously damaged by Typhoon Mangkhut, have been closed for maintenance.

Guanhu beach, Shayuchong tourism area and Xichong resort area will reopen Oct. 1.

Jiaochangwei beach, which is known for its hostels, has been closed, while Yangmeikeng and Xichong beaches have been closed due to road damage.

Outdoor hiking activities are banned due to the closure of outdoor facilities and unstable hiking conditions, according to a release by the Dapeng tourism administration.
