Average salary tops ¥9,000
    2018-10-09  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE average salary for jobseekers in Shenzhen this autumn is 9,561 yuan (US$1,386), according to the latest survey result released by zhaopin.com, the Shenzhen Evening News reported yesterday.

Among the 37 major cities that were included in the survey, Shenzhen is ranked third for its average salary.

Approximately 25 percent of jobs in the city pay between 6,000 and 8,000 yuan and 43.9 percent of salaries are above 8,000 yuan, according to the survey.

Shenzhen is ranked fourth in terms of competitiveness among white-collar employees this season.

The top sectors that are most competitive among jobseekers are real estate, architecture, materials, engineering, funds, stocks, future goods, investment, Internet and e-commerce, computer software and IT services.

In particular, service businesses in the real estate sector are now more appealing to jobseekers as more new posts managing long-term rental apartments, first homes and pre-owned apartments have become available.

The finance industry is also attracting a large number of talents, as the sector has been developing steadily for many years and provides considerable income.

Jobs providing transportation, software development, and IT quality management and testing services have been the most competitive in Shenzhen recently, according to the report.
