Housing transactions

A TOTAL of 2,248 new apartments were sold in September, the lowest total for a September in seven years, statistics from the city’s housing administration showed.

The number of transactions in Bao’an and Longgang dropped by 42.3 percent and 44.9 percent to 948 apartments and 879 apartments, respectively, over the previous month.

Frozen meat

A LARGE amount of frozen meat kept in a rented apartment in Xixiang, Bao’an District was seized for having no certificates of origin.

The meat was owned by a restaurant that had renovated the apartment into a refrigerated warehouse.

Luggage delays

MORE than 130 air travelers taking the ferry service from Hong Kong to Shenzhen complained that they were unable to get their luggage after arriving at Shekou Prince Bay Cruise Homeport.

The luggage had been delayed or held up by heavy air traffic at the Hong Kong airport during the National Day holiday.
