Hypertension day HYPERTENSION affects 20.9 percent of Shenzhen residents above the age of 18, which is around 2 million people, according to a survey released by Shenzhen Chronic Diseases Treatment and Prevention Center on Monday, the 21st National Hypertension Day. The survey showed that only 60 percent of interviewees were aware of their blood pressure. At present, 2,500 doctors working at 600 community clinics across the city are managing 250,000 patients with hypertension. Holiday travel AROUND 200,000 travelers took high-speed trains to Hong Kong from Shenzhen North Railway Station and Futian High-speed Railway Station during the National Day holiday period between Sept. 29 and Sunday. Shenzhen Railway Station and Shenzhen East Railway Station saw 940,000 passengers during the holiday. The number of travelers taking through trains from Guangzhou to Kowloon dropped by 27.3 percent to 43,000 during the holiday. Job fair THE autumn job fair for college graduates will be held at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center on Oct. 15. More than 600 enterprises will offer 20,000 vacancies for jobseekers, sources from the city’s employment service center said.
