Dengue fever cases

YANTIAN District on Wednesday confirmed two dengue fever cases caused by mosquito bites in a parking lot in the district.

The Yantian District Center for Disease Control and Prevention reminded residents to take precautions against mosquito bites as the mosquito-borne virus can be widely spread.

The parking lot has been closed to kill the mosquitoes.

Logistics fair

MORE than 1,800 enterprises from 50 countries and regions attended the 13th China (Shenzhen) International Logistics and Transportation Fair that opened Thursday at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.

The three-day fair this year covers 65,000 square meters with 14 themed zones on the convergence of the logistics industry with traditional industries like manufacturing, retailing and service industries like finance, the Internet, and the modern information industry.

Forest town

GUANGMING Subdistrict in Guangming New Area has been listed as a Guangdong provincial-level forest town, making it the only accredited forest town in Shenzhen in 2018.

Guangming Subdistrict is rich in natural resources and boasts high forest coverage.

Cool weekend

TEMPERATURES will be relatively low in the mornings and in the evenings in Shenzhen in the coming days, the city’s meteorological observatory said.

It will be sunny Saturday and Sunday, although the temperatures will drop again following rainfall Tuesday and Wednesday.
