Humblebrag 谦虚自夸
    2018-10-15  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A: My college classmate is refreshing her WeChat Moments again.

B: What’s up?

A: She goes like: I can’t believe the cakes in first class aren’t sugar-free. I’ll be gaining so much weight.

B: Obviously, she’s humblebragging.

Note: This word coined by putting together “humble” and “brag” describes a common phenomenon in modern life. People like to subtly show off their fantastic life on social media while undercutting it with a bit of self-effacing humor or “woe is me” gloss.
