Judges spread legal knowledge to pupils
    2018-10-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

福田法院“法官进校园”走进百花小学

Judges from Futian Court paid a visit to Baihua Elementary School on October 12 to educate students on legal knowledge, aiming to further improve young students’ legal awareness so that they can better protect themselves.

The event was attended by over 200 students, parent representatives and five deputies to the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Congress.

To make it fun and more accessible to students, Futian Court invited Bao’an Experimental Troupe of Ballad Singers to give a sitcom under the topic of anti-school bullying. The show was received by the students with warm applause.

Before the show, Wu Jianqing, a judge from Futian Court, gave a lecture titled “Say ‘no’ to school bullying and work together to build a harmonious campus,” in which he cited many real-life cases of bullying. Students learned more about legal knowledge on anti-school bullying and knew a better how to protect themselves under the law.

The court also gave the school over 1,800 books on legal knowledge.

In recent years, Futian Court has been organizing such events in schools and has sent judges to all 86 primary and secondary schools in the district, in a display of their care for the growth of young students.
