Sea World

Twenty-five Hans Christian Andersen Award winners are exhibiting more than 300 illustrations at the second floor of Sea World Culture and Arts Center until Oct. 24. Meanwhile, Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, China’s only institute of higher education with “fashion” in its name, is showcasing part of its 30 years of achievements in fashion design education practice on the first floor until Nov. 30. And the “Values of Design” exhibition on the first floor of the same venue draws from the V&A’s extensive collection in London and features over 250 objects from year 900 to the present.

Nanshan Museum

A collection of 231 ancient artifacts from the National Museum of Afghanistan are on display at the Nanshan Museum until Nov. 4. More exhibitions of ancient Chinese stone sculptures, coins and weapons, as well as contemporary Chinese artworks, are also being held until next year.

Virtual art exhibition

“Uffizi Virtual Experience” is an immersive interactive virtual exhibition. It literally brings the Uffizi Gallery to life with over 1,150 high-resolution digitalized images, immersive multi projections and interactive technology. Fourteen sculpture replicas authorized by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities are also on display at the exhibition.

Dates: Until Nov. 15

Jorg Demus

Austrian pianist and composer Jorg Demus will perform the works of Mozart, Schubert, Beethoven, Debussy as well as a self-composed sonata. He has a massive repertory of more than 350 LPs, CDs and video recordings.
