MORE than 500 residents gathered at the Shekou Cruise Center on Saturday afternoon to bid farewell to the Shenzhen missile destroyer. The destroyer will sail back to its home port in Zhanjiang in western Guangdong.

The Shenzhen missile destroyer’s visit was initiated by the Shenzhen city government on the 20th anniversary of its naming.
