Residents observe cloisonné products on display at Futian District Public Culture and Sports Development Center on Thursday. About 80 cloisonné products made by eight masters in Beijing are on exhibit until Jan. 12, 2019. Cloisonné is a famous traditional enamelware, known as the “blue of jingtai” in China, with a history of over 500 years. It was called “blue” because that was the typical color used for enamelling and “jingtai” during the reign of the seventh Ming emperor, when enamelware became very popular. Admission to the exhibition is free. Sun Yuchen |
