THE city will see sunny and dry weather until tomorrow. The difference between temperatures during the day and night will increase and the minimum temperature will drop to as low as 18 degrees Celsius.

At 2 p.m. Sunday, super typhoon Yutu was 2,080 kilometers from Shenzhen over the Western Pacific and was expected to move northwest at a speed of about 20 kilometers per hour toward the Bashi Channel. The typhoon hadn’t impacted China’s offshore waters as of yesterday.

Relative humidity

THE city’s meteorological observatory on Sunday recorded the lowest relative humidity for that day in October ever recorded, at only 24 percent.

The observatory said an alert for fires is in effect and suggested residents take measures to prevent fires.
