A dad frustrated by the difficulties of feeding his baby at night has invented a radical breast-shaped bottle to make parents’ lives easier. Ayal Lanternari said he first started thinking about the design while waiting for milk for his son to heat up in the middle of the night. He mentioned the idea to fellow biomedical* engineer, Asaf Kehat, and the pair decided to pursue the idea and make it a reality. Called “Nanobébé,” the product is a concave* bottle that’s meant to take after the shape of a mother’s breast. It features a minimalist* design and is constructed so that babies can easily grasp it. Nanobébé’s unique design causes the milk to spread out into a thinner layer. By expanding the milk’s surface area, this allows it to warm up quickly. This makes it so that parents can get the milk to their baby faster than having to heat it up on a stove or in the microwave, which have a high risk of damaging nutrients* and immunological* properties in the milk. Experts note that bacteria in fresh breast milk doubles every 20 minutes when it’s stored at room temperature. Nanobébé is designed to slow that process. Nanobébé offers the starter sets and the newborn kits that include a range of products in addition to the bottles. They will cost you from US$49 to US$95.(SD-Agencies) |
