Road closure

THE section of Tongfu Road between Haoye Road and Tongyu Road in Bao’an District will be closed for six months until May 5, 2019, to give way to the construction of a Metro station on Line 12, sources from the city’s traffic police said.

Metro lines

TWO under-construction Metro lines are scheduled to be put into operation in 2022, according to the Metro company. Metro Line 12 runs 40 kilometers, connecting Shekou in Nanshan District with Shajing Subdistrict in Bao’an District. It has 33 stations, 18 of which are interchange stations. Line 13, which started construction this January, has 16 stations. It starts at the Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint in Nanshan District extending 22.4 kilometers to Guangming District in the north of the city.

Gas blast

THREE pedestrians were injured in a restaurant blast on Hongbao Road in Guiyuan Subdistrict, Luohu District, on Sunday. An investigation showed the explosion was caused by the gas leakage in the restaurant kitchen.

The case is still under investigation.

New parking places

A TOTAL of 1,500 new roadside parking places will be added in the Longtang area in Minzhi Subdistrict, Longhua District, this year, according to a plan of the city’s transport commission.
