Standards for roadside charging poles mulled
    2018-11-09  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE city’s transportation commission recently released a draft document on standards for roadside charging poles to seek public opinion, the Shenzhen Evening News reported.

Residents can view the draft document on the commission’s official website and can also contribute their thoughts about the standards by calling 2680-1341 or sending emails to ruancg@sztb.gov.cn.

According to the draft document, the city is mulling the adoption of split chargers at roadside charging facilities for new-energy vehicles, rather than alternating current charging poles, to ensure the safety of pedestrians, maintenance workers and passing vehicles.

The split charging poles will be equipped with fast chargers that can top up electric vehicles in a short time, and the vehicles will not be in the road while being charged, according to the draft document.
