PPP office

THE city’s PPP Affairs Office was put into operation last week to promote public and private partnership projects, and 21 projects were introduced to the public at its inauguration ceremony Thursday.

The projects, involving a total investment of 78 billion yuan (US$11.21 billion), cover the transportation and infrastructure, and public livelihood and ecological environment sectors.

The transportation projects include the construction of Metro lines, parking facilities and intelligent parking facilities for bikes. The livelihood projects include the construction of the Shenzhen Mangrove Wetland Museum. The 11 ecological environment projects include the construction of a flower valley and a water purification project.

Vehicle separation

A NEW rule to restrict heavy vehicles from using light-vehicle lanes will take effect on Meiguan Expressway and the section of Meiguan Road between the entrance from Nanping Expressway and the exit to Caitian Road starting today.

Drivers will be fined 200 yuan and have 3 penalty points added to their driver’s license if they fail to follow the directives.

The rules also apply to Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway, Nanguang Expressway, Jihe Expressway, Beihuan Boulevard, Yueliangwan Boulevard, Nigang, Buxi and Yanhe roads, and the 107 National Highway.

Exit-entry facilitation

RESIDENTS can pay the fees for processing their exit and entry documents on their mobile phone by linking their bank cards with the mobile service. The mobile payment method accepts Huawei Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Mi Pa. The service was first piloted in Shenzhen and has been expanded provincewide since November, sources from the Shenzhen police exit and entry department said.
