Italian pianist Gianluca Luisi will present his “Unforgettable Chopin & Liszt” concert at Shenzhen Grand Theater. The program will comprise Chopin’s three etudes, three scherzos, three preludes and “Polonaise No. 6,” and Liszt’s “Sonetto del Petrarca No. 104,” “Grands Etudes de Paganini S. 141,” “Dante Sonata” and three etudes. Luisi is well-known for his interpretations of J. S. Bach’s pieces. He studied at the Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro under the guidance of Franco Scala and, later, at the International Piano Academy “Incontri col Maestro” with Giovanni Valentini, Boris Petrushansky and Piero Rattalino. Luisi now teaches at the Recanati Piano Academy of the Marche. Luisi has won many national and international piano competitions, including first prizes at Genzano Competition in Rome, the Jeunesse Musicales Competition and the Cesenatico Competition. He also won the second prize at the Casella International Competition in Naples and in 2001 he won the first prize at the J. S. Bach Piano International Competition in Germany.
