Smuggling caught WENJINDU Customs recently seized 45 tons of undeclared frozen chicken feet and 5 tons of undeclared chicken wings from two inbound trucks. This was the largest seizure of smuggled frozen meat by Shenzhen Customs this year. On Nov. 16, a customs inspector found water leaking from the two trucks, but the truck drivers only declared plastic products. Imported meat requires quarantine and hygiene certificates. The case has been handed over to the anti-smuggling department for investigation. Banknote swap GUANGMING police recently seized two men who were suspected of swapping genuine banknotes with counterfeit ones, victimizing a dozen people in Longhua, Guangming and Bao’an districts and Tangxia in Dongguan. The two suspects, identified as Zeng and Qiu, admitted to their crime after they were caught. They targeted long-distance bus riders and cheated them into taking a car to another bus station by saying that the buses had broken down. During the ride, the used different excuses and tactics to swap banknotes. |
