SZ students stage ethnic arts performances
    2018-12-05  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Organized by the Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau and undertaken by the Educational Science Research Institute of Shenzhen, the 2018 Shenzhen Primary and Middle School Students Ethnic Arts Performance was held at the Shenzhen Primary and Middle School Art Education Base from November 23 to 25.

The event consisted of three parts, namely traditional Chinese operas on campus, teachers’ performances and ethnic arts performances, presenting the achievements Shenzhen schools have made in the education of ethnic arts.

A total of 559 teachers and students from 21 schools in seven districts across the city took part in the event. Students staged works of Peking opera, Cantonese opera, Yueju opera and Yuju opera, while 100 teachers showcased their Peking opera skills.

Lai Qunyang, vice inspector of the Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau, gave high praise after watching the performance. “The three-day performance presented to the audience a large variety of programs. The organization is in good order,” said Lai.

A network broadcast was recorded during the event with a total of 238,300 viewers tuning in.
