Hospital records mutually recognized
    2018-12-11  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

MEDICAL records and physical checkup results at local public hospitals will be mutually recognized in June 2019, according to an academic meeting on information construction among hospitals in Shenzhen and neighboring Dongguan City.

This practice will avoid the repetition of examinations and save time and costs for patients.

The proportion of online appointments for registrations and treatments has reached 81 percent at public hospitals and 100 percent at public hospitals directly under the city’s health administration, respectively.

Statistics released at the meeting showed that the number of registered members on the city’s online medical service registration platform had reached 18.13 million, with the number of daily users reaching 66,000 on average. The service platform has accumulatively facilitated 71.41 million appointments.

“The medical service website and app have been connected with 76 government-funded hospitals, providing a medical treatment reservation service and offering priority registration at 632 community clinics,” Li Denan, director with Shenzhen Medical Information Center, was quoted as saying by the Shenzhen Metropolis Daily.

Shenzhen has been chosen by the national health commission to pilot electronic health cards. The health cards will integrate residents’ identification, financial and medical information and be accepted nationwide in the future.(Han Ximin)
