Trains to Shantou

SHENZHEN residents who used to take CRH trains to Chaoshan will be able to take CRH trains directly to the center of Shantou City next month. The trip between Shenzhen North Railway Station and Shantou takes 2.5 hours and many of the CRH trains currently running to Chaoshan will be extended to Shantou.

Virus spreading

A 22-YEAR-OLD man surnamed Luo was recently caught by Dongguan Net police for spreading a self-made virus online to invade computers and steal account information from various platforms, such as Taobao, Alipay and Baidu Net disk.

The case was solved by police with help from tech companies Tencent and 360.com.

Fraud case closed

POLICE officers in Shenzhen took a chartered airplane last week from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to Cambodia to conduct a joint mission. Ninety criminals pretending to be staff of public security organs were arrested and escorted back to China by the police for investigation.

Shenzhen’s special working group, with the help of Alibaba.com, successfully closed the case in two months.

Social organizations

A TOTAL of 418 social organizations have been listed in the abnormal category for failing to deliver annual reports to authorities, the city’s civil affairs bureau said.

The organizations include alumni associations, industrial and social organizations, and private nonprofit organizations. The names have been released on the official website of the civil affairs bureau.
