Physics laureate Donna Strickland receives the prize from King Carl Gustaf of Sweden during the Nobel Prize award ceremony in Stockholm, Sweden on Monday. The Nobel Prize award ceremony was held Monday in the Swedish capital, with the absence of U.S. scientist Arthur Ashkin. This year’s other laureates, Gerard Mourou in physics, Frances H. Arnold, George P. Smith and Sir Gregory P. Winter in chemistry, James P.
