EAST CHINA’S Anhui Province has helped up to 682,000 people find employment in the first 11 months of the year, an increase of 4.7 percent year on year, surpassing the government’s target, according to the provincial human resources and social security department. By the end of the third quarter, the unemployment rate was down to 2.78 percent, the lowest since 2010. And the employment rate of new college graduates topped 96.63 percent by the end of November, up 0.52 percentage point compared with the same period last year, the department said. The provincial government had helped 130,700 impoverished people get employed by the end of November by organizing special job fairs and creating more job opportunities for them. The provincial government planned to organize more than 2,000 job fairs in the fourth quarter of this year, providing more than 2 million jobs, according to the department. (Xinhua) |
