THE First Bao’an District Future Star Talent Show has announced its winners at the finals held Dec. 12 at Xixiang Auditorium.

Organized by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of Bao’an District and supported by the Public Service Center of Bao’an District, the contest aims to discover and foster excellent street artists for the district.

The contest, specially designed for future street artists, featured musical performers including bands, guitar instrumentalists, guitar soloists, guitar ensembles as well as wind and string instrument soloists, ensembles and quartets.

After rounds of competition, six shows including a jazz drum performance “Gaia,” band performance “Taste of Love,” and a guitar solo “Dancers on Steel Strings” won the gold awards. Six shows including the song “In Your Winter” by an electroacoustic band and “The Music of the Night” by a string quintet won the silver awards.

After the award ceremony, the gold and silver awards winners signed contracts with the district’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, which issued them permits to perform on the streets of Bao’an District. (Yang Mei)
