GEP evaluation

YANTIAN District has been practicing Gross Ecosystem Product (GEP) in its planning, decision-making and evaluation. The system includes three levels of indicators.

The first-level indicators are natural ecosystem value and habitat environment ecosystem value. The 11 subindicators include ecological products, ecological adjustment, ecological culture, atmospheric environment maintenance and improvement.

Contract scam

A MAN was sentenced to three years and six months in prison for cheating on a 400,000-yuan (US$58,360) loan from a bank in a contract scam.

The man, surnamed Kuang, squandered the money on online gambling, according to a verdict from Futian District People’s Court.
