Flight to Shangri-La

SHENZHEN Airlines resumed its daily flight from Shenzhen to Shangri-La City in Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, on Jan. 10, after suspending the route for more than 10 years.

Metro manager jailed

YANG SHUYUN, former manager with Hub Construction Co. of Shenzhen Metro Group, has been sentenced to four years and six months in prison for taking 2.19 million yuan (US$317,392) and HK$500,000 (US$63,782) in bribes.

Between 2006 and 2012, Yang abused his power to extend favors to construction companies in exchange for bribes.
