Jack Russell clings onto owner’s back
    2019-01-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A CYCLIST was caught on camera giving his dog a piggyback ride and wearing him like a rucksack while cycling along a residential street.

During the amusing scene the little Jack Russell clings onto the unknown man as he cycles through Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, the U.K.

Driver Michelle Davies, 44, whose daughter Leah Davies, 17, took the footage on her mobile phone, said she could not believe what she was seeing.

During the clip, Ms. Davies and her daughter spot the cyclist and his dog as they drive down the road and give him a friendly wave.

The waitress from Saltburn-by-the-Sea, North Yorkshire, said, “It looked like a little rucksack.

“There was nothing holding the dog on, he was just clinging on with his front legs over the guy’s shoulders sort of lying across his back.

“I was wondering how he’d managed to get up there.

“I’d never seen them before but apparently they’re quite well known.

“The little Jack Russell didn’t look scared at all. It looked totally normal.

“The cyclist saw us and gave us a little wave and smile like it was the most normal thing in the world.

“We decided to film it because it’s not something you see every day and it made me chuckle.”

This is not the first time a canine has been spotted receiving a helping hand from a cyclist.

Last year, a cyclist in Georgia, the U.S., was seen hoisting a stray 5-month-old Great Dane mix puppy on his back and taking him to safety after the canine was hit by a car. (SD-Agencies)
