Chinese jewelry designer Sun Jie will give a free lecture at Block 16 Creative Park in Nanshan District. Sun graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing with a degree in jewelry design. He moved to Amsterdam and specialized in applied arts at the renowned Sandberg Institute and obtained his master’s degree. After having won various scholarships and prizes, including the CAFA Talent Award in Beijing and the Enjoia’t Award for Contemporary Jewelry in Barcelona, he has traveled around the world for group exhibitions and solo shows in cities such as Amsterdam, Barcelona and Shanghai. He currently teaches at Tongji University in Shanghai. His Jie Sun Design Studio not only engages in designing projects but also contributes contemporary design thinking and innovative ideas.
