TWO-TIME Olympic bobsleigh champion Kaillie Humphries of Canada said Saturday she had filed a complaint of harassment with Canada’s Bobsleigh-Skeleton federation.

Humphries commented on her decision in an interview with broadcaster CBC on Saturday, saying it was the reason she decided to step away from competition this year.

“I found myself in a situation where my work climate was disrupted and so I could not compete,” she told CBC, although she did not detail the nature of the harassment.

Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton said it had forwarded Humphries’s complaint to an independent investigator, in accordance with its policy on discrimination and harassment introduced in 2006.

Humphries, 33, won gold in the two-woman bobsleigh in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and the 2014 Sochi Games and earned bronze in the same event at the 2018 Pyeongchang Games.
