Bai Ruojing marrymerryrose@yahoo.com On January 18, the Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation and Beijing Foreign Studies University co-hosted a meeting at Shenzhen University between representatives from Chulalongkorn University (Thailand), the National University of Laos, the Yangon University of Economics (Myanmar), the Royal Academy of Cambodia and eight other distinguished universities in the Lancong-Mekong area and more than six local universities in Shenzhen, such as the Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School. The meeting proposed the establishment of an Alliance of Lancong-Mekong Universities (ALM) to build a cross-border communication platform for students, scholars and entrepreneurs, as well as promote the sharing and dissemination of commercial, economic and educational information. |
