A TOTAL of 2,804 people died of infectious diseases in China in December 2018, according to statistics released by the National Health Commission.

Role model

THE Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee has honored postman Chimed Dorje as “role model of the times.”

He was awarded a medal and certificate of honor.

Chimed Dorje is a postal car driver, delivering mail for two counties in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Southwest China’s Sichuan Province.
