Security tasks arranged for Spring Festival gala at subvenue
    2019-01-31  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

SECURITY tasks have been arranged to ensure the success of the Spring Festival gala at the Shenzhen subvenue, which will be held in the Civic Center on Monday, according to the Shenzhen Special Zone Daily, citing information released by the Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau.

“Since last December, when the bureau received its security mission for the Spring Festival gala from the higher authority, we have been making preparations,” said Xu Wei, director of the operation group of the security patrol division of the public security bureau.

According to the staff at the bureau, security tasks have been arranged to be conducted during three periods before the gala and are centered on the following four aspects: the bureau will prevent potential dangers from arising by collecting safety-related information and conducting a risk assessment; police at fire stations will conduct a comprehensive inspection of the venue; traffic police will ensure parking for vehicles used for the gala as well as smooth traffic around the venue; and patrol police will be on duty for 24 hours.

According to Xu, part of the security tasks have been completed, and the police will continue their work to ensure the success of the gala Monday, the eve of the Spring Festival.
