Post-festival job fair held
    2019-02-18  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE first post-festival job fair organized by Shenzhen Talent Group was held Wednesday to Friday, offering 1,354 spots for 2,000 jobseekers.

More than 200 local enterprises, including Foxconn, BYD and Epson, attended the fair. The enterprises cover the electronics, intelligent manufacturing, new energy, biopharmacy, construction and real estate, finance and logistics industries.

“The intelligent manufacturing sector has a big demand for innovative talents, and we are recruiting technical talents for 3-D glassware projects,” a manager with Shenzhen BYD Automobile Co. Ltd. said in an interview.

Shenzhen Xincanghai Machinery Co. Ltd. offers 120,000 yuan (US$17,748) to 500,000 yuan in annual salaries for machinery and electrical engineers designing intelligent high-end equipment. For technical talents with excellent capabilities, the annual salary is 5 million yuan.

Shenzhen Jiashun Robotics Co. Ltd. provides robotics for industrial use, and the company’s recruitment manager said that since the robotics are designed on the basis of custom demands, the company has set higher requirements on the professional level of its talents, especially regarding innovation capability.

A survey conducted by Shenzhen Talent Group showed that 73.3 percent of enterprises increased vacancies this year compared to last year and 14 percent plan to recruit more than 200 people.

The top five industries that need talents are electronics, manufacturing, commerce and trade, finance and media.

In 2019, 22 percent of enterprises promised salary rises of between 10 and 15 percent, and 56 percent promised to increase salaries by 5-10 percent, of which 30 percent will increase salaries by 5 percent.

The survey also shows that 44 percent of jobseekers weigh salary and benefits. These are followed by working environment and promotion potential. Among them, 30 percent favor foreign-funded enterprises, while the rest choose State-owned enterprises or private enterprises.

Shenzhen Talent Group plans to hold a total of 100 job fairs in the first half of the year.

All of them will be held on the seventh floor of the company’s office building. For more information, jobseekers can log onto www.szhr.com.cn. (Han Ximin)
