Toddler run over

A 2-YEAR-OLD child was fatally run over by a passing car at the entrance of a community park in Fenghuang Subdistrict, Guangming District, on Sunday.

The child was crossing the road to play on the slide inside the community park when he was run over by the car, and the driver claimed that he didn’t see the child when the accident happened.

The boy’s 8-year-old sister was waiting for him on the other side of the road at the time of the accident.

FIBA world cup

TEN matches of the 2019 FIBA World Cup will be held at Shenzhen Bay Sports Center in Nanshan District between Sept. 1 and 10, and eight teams from eight countries of the 32 qualifiers will compete in the city.

Shenzhen is one of the eight cities in China to host the FIBA World Cup 2019. The other host cities are Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing in Jiangsu Province, Wuhan in Hubei Province, Guangzhou, Foshan and Dongguan in Guangdong.
