Senior woman faints

A 69-YEAR-OLD Hong Kong woman fainted on her wheelchair while crossing the border to Shenzhen at Huanggang Checkpoint on Tuesday and was helped by on-duty officers.

The woman has been ailing for years and was accompanied by her children to visit relatives in Guangdong. The on-duty officers moved her to an open and safe place to rest.

Sponge city projects

SHENZHEN will offer rewards to private investments that completed sponge city projects after Jan. 1, 2017. The accumulative rewards for a single sponge city project could reach as much as 10 million yuan (US$1.47 million).

E-bike theft

A 19-YEAR-OLD man who stole e-bikes in Shenzhen and lived in Dongguan was caught Monday by Longhua police. The man was allegedly involved in multiple e-bike thefts in Guanlan Subdistrict, Longhua.
