Hosting gig

KELLY CLARKSON will host the 2019 Billboard Music Awards in May, NBC announced Friday. Clarkson should feel comfortable slipping back into the hosting gig after she performed the same duties last year. The event will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. EST on May 1 on NBC from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Sequel

WARNER Bros. is developing a sequel to “Edge of Tomorrow.”

“Edge of Tomorrow” filmmaker Doug Liman and stars Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt are expected to return, dependent on Matthew Robinson delivering a script they like. “Edge of Tomorrow,” based on the Hiroshi Sakurazaka manga “All You Need Is Kill,” was not a commercial hit, but it was a success with critics and has grown in popularity over the years on home entertainment.

Rebooted series

SETH ROGEN has publicly confirmed that he will be joining the forthcoming revival of the classic “Twilight Zone” series, narrated and hosted by Jordan Peele. The “Twilight Zone” reboot will premiere on CBS All Access on April 1, with a two-episode debut. The original “Twilight Zone” ran from 1959 to 1964. (SD-Agencies)
