Greenway network

SHENZHEN has completed a greenway network of 2,400 kilometers and will build more greenways this year, according to a plan released by the Shenzhen Municipal Urban Administration.

In 2019, the administration will upgrade the Furong greenway, provincial No. 2 greenway in Luohu, Yantian coastal greenway, Longhua circular greenway and Guangming marathon greenway.

Job market

SHENZHEN Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau has announced 11 hotlines for the public to report irregularities that disrupt job markets. The move is to eliminate unlicensed job agencies and regulate employers to ensure a fair job market for jobseekers.

The email and hotline of the municipal human resources bureau are szrlzybzx@szhrss.gov.cn and 12333.

Flood season

SHENZHEN has already entered the flood season by meteorological standards, local weather experts said.

The meteorological observatory estimates a cumulative 1,700-1,900 mm of rainfall for this year’s rainy season and six typhoons are expected to affect the city between April and September.

Electronics smugglers

HUANGGANG Customs recently seized two trucks that were smuggling undeclared memory chips and hard disks into the city. The chips and disks had a market value of 20 million yuan (US$2.96 million).

The imaging detection over the two inbound trucks from Hong Kong raised suspicions among customs officers, although both trucks had been declared empty.

Officers found 36,312 memory chips, 21,704 hard disks, 12,400 U disks, 1,750 LCDs and 218,000 button batteries.
