First-World problem 小麻烦
    2019-03-18  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A: Why are you not eating?

B: My cousin is getting married tomorrow and I still haven’t found an appropriate dress to wear to her wedding party.

A: Come on. Just forget about your First-World problem and enjoy this delicious meal that people somewhere in Africa have only tasted in their dreams.

Note: “First-World problem” is a slang term used to refer to issues in First World nations that are complained about only because of the absence of more pressing concerns. The term was added to Oxford Dictionary Online in 2012. The term arose in 1995 first used by Alt-Rock singer Matthew Good, but gained recognition as an Internet meme beginning in 2005, particularly on social networking sites like Twitter. Typical problems include slow Internet access, not being able to find items in a shop and getting a bad haircut.
